The course covers some basic new mathematics (Tensor Calculus) in order to understand the Theory of General Relativity. We cover relativistic Cosmology, Extragalactic, galactic and stellar astrophysics, including neutron stars, pulsars, black holes and some electromagnetic theory and an introduction to Plasma Physics. The Solar System, stellar bodies likestar formation, extrasolar planets, solar-terrestrial astrophysics and astrobiology are covered. On the engineringside, satellites, space probes, radiotelescopes and radioastronomy techniques and sources are also covered. In summary, the course gives engineering and science students a modern view of the Universe with coming future « back to space » applications in the near future.
