Torneo Universitario de Apps (TUApp) is an international competition whose objective is to promote the development of useful solutions to society that come from students and professors of Ibero-American universities. Through a 6-month process, TUApp helps students implement their technology projects, fomenting their creativity, entrepreneurship and the formation of new networks.

The 2018 edition of this event was held on our campus from Monday, November 19 to Thursday, November 22. It received students from Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Peru. Likewise, there were 5 groups comprised by students of our University: Chévere TEC, CropHope, Culturative, GreenFunds and Light App (in collaboration with Universidad de Lima).

With regard to this competition, we congratulate students Manuel Perez (Electronic Engineering), Diego Recalde (Computer Engineering), Jose Carlos Cortazar (Industrial Design) and Grace Valdivia (Industrial Design), who were the winners of the categories “Blockchain” “Environment” and “Highest functionality”, and got ranked second in the competition.

We also congratulate all the PUCP students who showed their creative proposals during this edition of TUApp, and we encourage the rest of our students to participate in the next edition of this great championship.
