The Mining Engineering program is accredited by Comité Técnico de Acreditación de Ingeniería de ICACIT, http://www.icacit.org.pe and Engineering Accreditation Comission of ABET, http://www.abet.org



Peru is a privileged country in mineral resources and mining industry has great importance because of its contribution to the national economy. At Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, the student will obtain solid foundations of technical and scientific knowledge, as well as ethical and moral education committed to society and ecology. The student will apply the design and mine operation, together with industry related business activities, science in extraction processes of metallic and non-metallic substances of earth cortex.

The academic program will enable the student to work in direct contact with the nature and spend long periods in work field. Moreover, the student is required to be willing to work in teams, aware of group leading and ability for mathematics and physics.
