The impact of technology on improving quality of life in our society and modernizing productive processes is a challenge that new professionals should assume. Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú train students in a conscious manner in this responsibility, by specialization in areas, such as, electronic circuits, control and automation, bio-engineering, computer science, telecommunications, digital sign processing and micro-electronics.

Digital, information and management scheme revolution is waiting for students’ contributions.

The student will have to enhance the ability to manage technological projects, design electronic systems, optimize the use of technology and organize companies. Moreover, managerial capacity and an attitude of willingness to teamwork, ethics and problem solving will be developed.

The student will enter the School after completing the General Science Studies, where courses of the academic program will be taken. The student should have also shown a good command in a foreign language at the level of the fifth semester of the programs offered by the School of Foreign Languages of the University. Thanks to the passage by the General Studies, the student will have deepened knowledge and developed competences that will be necessary for the successful development over the following years of the career. The curriculum enables the student, from the third semesters, to become aware of the work field of an Electronic Engineer. During education, the student will develop many useful electronic devices and which complexity will increase as progress in studies.

Career assessment and certification

The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) is an institution located in Canada in charge of the assessment and certification of undergraduate engineering programs. CEAB has granted to the academic program of Electronic Engineering, since 2008, a substantial recognition equivalent to similar Canadian programs.
