The Educational Objectives (EOs) describe the achievements that graduates of Geological Engineering obtain after 3 to 5 years of professional experience. These EOs were defined taking into account the opinions of professors, graduates, employers and the advisory committee of the program.
The professional of Geological Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú will achieve to:
EO.1 Design, execute, direct, and manage mineral deposit exploration and development programs, maintaining a solid commitment to the society and the environment, based on ethical values.
EO.2 Perform in the different phases of work related to the mining industry, during which the geological knowledge and survey are necessary and indispensable.
EO.3 Collaborate with peers and other industry professionals, such as Mining Engineers, Metallurgical Engineers and Environmental Engineers, mastering the language and knowledge to enable this collaboration. Their teamwork and joint decision-making capacity will play an important role in these aspects.
EO.4 Provide applied geological consulting services.
EO.5 Hold management positions at different levels of the mining industry.
EO.6 Develop as an academic researcher meeting the conditions required by recognized international graduate programs.
