The
TAFOS/PUCP Photographic Archive originated in late 1998, moment
in when the director and founder of TAFOS, Thomas Müller, decided
to donate all the photographic and documentary files from the project
to the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú -
Faculty of Science and Arts of Communication.
During
the next three years, the authorities from the University requested
the Faculty of Science and Arts of Communication, the organization,
stabilization and cataloguing of the donations, and also the construction
of a specially designed space made for the appropriate conservation
of the material.
During
the 2001, the negatives were cleaned and, that same year, for the
visualization on the web site, the pictures from the project, started
being scanned. The TAFOS/PUCP Photographic Archive is open for anyone
who wants to use it for teaching, research, promotion and mounting
of exhibitions.

The
most important tasks TAFOS/PUCP is doing right now are the dissemination,
conservation, maintenance, scanning and systematization of all the
pictures and written documents. The initiation of new workshops
ended in 1998 with the closure of TAFOS Project. From time to time,
some group discussions and exhibitions of the archive materials
are done. |
