This course offers an approach to image analysis through color theory, understanding color as an expressive tool in the construction of visual meaning. Its purpose is for students to develop a critical perspective on the use of color in audiovisual products by studying its physical, perceptual, symbolic, and narrative foundations. Concepts such as chromatic harmony, contrast, color psychology, and the communicative function of color in various visual contexts are addressed. The course helps strengthen analytical, interpretative, and discursive skills essential for audiovisual creation with both aesthetic and communicative intent. The methodology is based on guided case analysis, specialized readings, and reflective discussions, fostering an active engagement in class sessions through critical exchange of ideas.
