This course examines the role of color as a strategic narrative and technical discourse within the contemporary digital audiovisual landscape. It transitions from passive theory to applied strategy, enabling students to construct complex visual meaning through a deep understanding of digital color science (ACES, HDR), neuroesthetics, and cross-cultural symbolism. The course focuses on the development of critical and technical competencies through professional simulations, such as Color Scripting from ‘blind scripts’, allowing students to decode and manipulate chromatic language as a primary storytelling tool. By bridging the gap between artistic intention and profesional workflows like Look Development and Color Grading, the course equips students with the comprehensive skills required for their future professional. In that sense, they will be capable of defending original visual signatures in an increasingly globalized and technically demanding market.
